IYNAUS is a not-for-profit membership organization that is devoted to promoting the teachings of Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar. IYNAUS has over 1200 members who are teachers and over 3000 general members. IYNAUS is affiliated with 12 regional Iyengar Yoga associations in the US and with the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI) in India. IYNAUS performs its various functions through a small number of employees; through several independent contractors; and through committees comprised of both members of its board of directors and other volunteers.
