Small Class Sizes: We keep class sizes small, with approximately 23 students in all classes across all grades.

Teacher Collaboration: Our content teachers meet weekly in vertical teams to analyze achievement data and student work, share & discover best practices, and foster school-wide alignment in instructional tools and strategies.

Professional Development: Our teachers receive and facilitate ongoing professional development and individual coaching on curriculum, instruction, and classroom management.

Culturally Responsive School Climate: All staff participate in expert-led training on restorative practices, equitable grading, and antiracist educational pedagogy.

Technology: All staff have access to a Lenovo laptop, Chromebook carts, TVs, and SmartBoards in every classroom to support teaching and learning.

Community Assistance: We distribute over 3,000 lbs of food to our families each week through a Maryland Food Bank partnership.

Student Enrichment: We pay teachers $1000-$1500 per semester to sponsor after-school clubs and activities. This year over 400 Henderson-Hopkins students have participated in an after-school program.

State of the Art Facilities: Our 21st century building opened in 2014 and has received numerous architectural awards. We offer a fully functioning STEAM Lab, a library, a gymnasium, auditorium, and a brand new track and field.
