The Pacifica Foundation was founded in 1949 by pacifist Lewis Hill, and consists of five radio stations, the Pacifica Radio Archives and the Pacifica Affiliates network. It's radio broadcast network provides a commercial-free broadcast service for the purpose of community engagement, education and artistic and cultural expression. The stations are located in Berkeley and Los Angeles (CA), New York City (NY), Washington D.C., and Houston (TX).
