Currently celebrating its 26th season, Connecticut Ballet's professional ballet company and its contemporary offshoot, Zig Zag Ballet, perform classical repertory and cutting-edge works commissioned from today’s foremost choreographers. Performances are held at Stamford Center for the Arts and other venues throughout Connecticut. The organization’s Dance Exposure Project conducts educational programs in area public schools and social service centers, in addition to offering accelerated training scholarships at its affiliated school, Connecticut Ballet Center (CBC). CBC offers training in ballet, jazz, tap, ballroom, African percussion, and more for children three and older. A wide range of adult classes is also offered.
