    The mission of the West Side Community Land Trust (West Side CLT) is to create permanently affordable housing with community-centered development in west Charlotte and beyond. Ultimately, producing staying power for low-income residents facing displacement due to gentrification and displacement- largely in historically black communities.

    • Progress- We deliver tangible results.

    West Side CLT was formalized into a nonprofit, 501c3 in 2017 and was founded by west side residents who were resolved to combat the gentrification and displacement they witnessed and experienced in their communities. Keeping with our origins, we implement a bottom-up, resident-led, human centered approach to permanent affordability and practice that tenet in both word and deed.
