The Garden takes an innovative approach where abused, neglected and disenfranchised youth can grow and heal. The Garden is a safe haven that provides structured mental health services within the community to children and youth who are in need of psychoeducation to meet their mental health needs and to learn effective coping skills. The Garden also provides emergency and short-term care for children and youth experiencing a crisis. The short-term care and emergency services offer a safe home-like environment for children and youth to feel secure and to gain a sense of stability, adoption placement and support, counseling and mental health treatment, education support and services, independent living skills, mentoring, and family crisis intervention. 

Our mission is to build unity and preservation to families, to prevent child abuse and neglect, and to provide mental health treatment and support to youth. The mission can only be achieved by working collaboratively with the community, families, donors, and the Department of Children and Family Services. By providing a service led with staff and volunteers filled with integrity, competency, and the passion to empower those who are vulnerable; will inevitably create change.

We have set a course to create innovative ways to help the youth heal through non-traditional methods. Where the focus is rebuilding, rediscovering and realigning individuals to their purpose. Within our program we bring our passion, vision, and mission into the communities by bringing awareness and providing psychoeducation. In the event that a youth or family is experiencing a crisis, The Garden offers support and services aimed to achieve our vision towards increasing resiliency, providing restructuring, and a space for recovery from the crisis. From this approach the key focus is family reunification and transitioning the youth back into their community.The Garden believes that every child deserves the chance to seize the obstacles they are faced with as their opportunities. The opportunity to rebuild their hopes and dreams. The opportunity to rediscover their purpose and who they are as individuals.
