    Who We Are

When life matters most… Avalon’s mission is to honor life and offer compassion to individuals, and their families, when facing a life-limiting illness. Our philosophy is built around having highly experience healthcare professionals providing necessary physical, emotional, and spiritual support, while offering education about the disease and dying process.

Avalon Hospice-Murfreesboro services Rutherford, Bedford and Cannon County.

    What We Do

At Avalon Hospice, we see each individual as more than a patient. Our skilled professionals and volunteers design an all-encompassing plan of care, customized to each patient that addresses not only the physical needs, such as pain and symptom management, but also the emotional and spiritual needs of the patient and family. Counseling and education about the disease and the dying process are provided to the family unit in conjunction with patient care.

Volunteers are an integral part of our interdisciplinary team. Our volunteers provide non-medical support services to patients in the home or at senior living facilities. Volunteers can provide caregiver relief, companionship visits, bring patient flowers to brighten their day, help with household chores and meal preparation and/or do administrative work in the office.

"The last good thing that may happen in a person's life is a hospice volunteer."
