Habitat for Humanity is a global,Christian housing ministry. Demonstrating God's love, our vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to leave. We offer a hand up, not a hand out. Homeowners are selected based on need, ability to pay back an affordable mortgage, and willingness to work with the program which includes financial literacy classes, homeownership classes, and spending 250 hours of sweat equity working on the homes of others as well as their own homes.
We have a global tithe to Guatemala where we tithe 10% of our funds to help supply smokeless stoves, clean water filters, latrines and shelter. We build homes for families here in Lincoln County, complete critical home repairs for families in need, revitalize neighborhoods, have high school campus chapters and read to K-5 graders at 5 local elementary schools.
