Soccer in the Streets is a non-profit organization that reaches out to teens who are on the margins of society, Racial and ethnic minorities, immigrants and refugees from low-income and broken homes. They typically attend low-performing public schools in disadvantaged neighborhoods with high rates of crime and unemployment, and face healthy food deserts. Our goal is to utilize soccer to keep kids out of the streets. We also utilize soccer to teach youth different development skills that can assist them in becoming responsible adults. Our youth are also provided with many opportunities within the soccer realm (i.e. being referees, being coaches, and much more).
