Rewiring America is a new coalition of engineers, entrepreneurs, and volunteers focused on addressing climate change and boosting the economy by electrifying everything. To join us, go to rewiringamerica.org.

The Rewiring America Plan is based on cutting-edge technology and energy research. It rests on three fundamental building blocks: the most detailed energy analysis in American history, an engineering study that identifies the specific technologies we need to decarbonize, and a conservative jobs estimate based on tangible technology solutions.

Together, the conclusions of this research point towards a policy plan for climate change that is fundamentally different from plans of the past. Many climate platforms are “trickle-down” – they start with high-level policy and try to guess how that will affect everyday Americans. Rewiring America takes the opposite approach – identifying the tangible items needed to decarbonize, and scaling those up to understand job creation and policy approaches.
