Midwives for Midwives and Women's Health International

Midwives for Midwives is a US-based tax-exempt organization based in Antigua Guatemala, working to strengthen the capacity of indigenous midwives to identify and meet the needs of the communities they serve. We strive to preserve safe and effective traditional birth methods and enhance those with evidence-based aspects of biomedicine. We provide training to traditional midwives to improve their skills. We demonstrate humane, respectful, quality women's healthcare from a midwifery model through our model clinic, Ixmucane.
