The Lawrence Community Shelter (LCS) provides the only unrestricted, low barrier emergency shelter in Douglas County. LCS is a place where individuals and families experiencing homelessness can find shelter and support in their efforts to address the root causes of their homelessness. We connect guests with programs and services offered by both LCS and our community partners, with the ultimate goal being to empower individuals and families to live independently in a sustainable manner.
