Mountain BizWorks

Mountain BizWorks is a non-profit community development financial institution (CDFI) that helps local businesses to start, grow and create jobs through loans, classes and coaching.  

Learning

Our learning programs are designed to support entrepreneurs in starting, improving or expanding their business. Mountain BizWorks offers business planning classes and workshops, peer to peer and industry specific business coaching, and growth strategy development and implementation to assist businesses in setting and attaining significant business development milestones.

Lending

For over 30 years, Mountain BizWorks has been making business loans ranging from $10,000 to $250,000 to small businesses in Western North Carolina. Our model is different from traditional lending institutions in that we consider non-traditional collateral and offer flexibility in the loan structure. In addition, we work to ensure our clients' success by offering customized business coaching. Our innovative blend of lending and learning supports entrepreneurs in creating a strategic growth plan that includes local job creation. 

Investing

Investors are able to put their money to work by placing their investments in Mountain BizWorks. Our capital combined with community investor capital creates the pool of funds from which we lend to help small businesses start, grow and create jobs.
