Congregation Beth El, South Orange, NJ

Congregation Beth El is a diverse, multigenerational community and school, located within a short commuting distance of New York City and northern NJ. We are a dynamic egalitarian synagogue, affiliated with the Conservative movement, with a strong commitment to inspiring learning, engaging worship and pursuing social justice. We offer a Preschool, a Jewish Learning Center (K-7 religious school) and a teen educational and social action program. Beth El is a member of the Big Tent Judaism Coalition of inclusive communities, and one of the fastest growing Jewish congregations in the country. Our spiritual leader is Rabbi Jesse M. Olitzky, who has been recognized by the Jewish Forward as one of “America’s Most Inspiring Rabbis.”
