  • Sobre Nós

In 1984, the City of Dallas Housing and Neighborhood Services Department, now known as the Housing Department, created People Helping People Program to increase the City’s capacity to assist the elderly and disabled through the recruitment of volunteers to perform minor exterior home repairs. Every year, over 4,000 volunteers give their time, talent and resources to replace rotted siding and trim, scrape and paint, build handrails, repair porches and steps, and demolish small accessory structures. Businesses, schools, churches, service organizations, and neighborhood associations join hands with PHP to help homeowners who can no longer physically or financially make basic repairs to their homes.
