LitArts RI, an award-winning 501c3 nonprofit, was founded in 2018 to enable the written and spoken literary arts to flourish in Rhode Island. The organization’s Center, in Providence’s Valley neighborhood, provides creative workspace, meeting rooms for writing groups and an audio recording studio. LitArts RI also offers classes and signal boosting for the community. 500 creators, including nationally known authors and strong B/I/POC and LGBTQ contingents, are supporting members.
As part of its strategic revamp, the organization, formerly known as What Cheer Writers Club, is currently fine tuning itself for the next five years and beyond to serve writers and readers across the Ocean State.
