The mission of Plentiful is to accelerate a food ecosystem that centers the need of the individual. We are focused on realigning elements of the system to deliver more human-centered outcomes by embedding our technology platforms within communities. Our ecosystem approach connects local infrastructure, stakeholders, and information systems via various technology tools.
Families in New York City can use Plentiful to locate, register, and make reservations at their local food pantry or soup kitchen, reducing wait times and transport of identification documents. Pantry staff use Plentiful to improve line management through reservations, client communications, and reporting. Plentiful was launched in December 2016 as a pilot at three NYC pantries. Since then, over 300 pantries and 100,000 unique households have registered on the platform.
