Huckleberry Youth Programs is a community-based agency founded on the belief that adolescence is a turbulent time during which many young people are at risk for life-threatening crises. These crises include drug and alcohol addiction, physical and sexual abuse, emotional illness, physical illness (including HIV infection), family breakdown, homelessness, delinquency and suicide.
Our mission is to educate, inspire, and support under served youth to develop healthy life choices, to maximize their potential, and to realize their dreams.
Since our inception in 1967, we have served over 200,000 at-risk youth in SF and Marin and provide services to approximately 6,700 youth each year.
Huckleberry strengthens families and empowers young people with services that promote safety in times of crisis, physical and emotional health and well-being, social justice in communities facing inequality, and educational success.
When all youth succeed, the entire community is stronger!
