The
Center for Global Health stands on the pillars of our major international
research and training collaborations in Brazil, Haiti, India, and
Tanzania. The Center is based in the
Weill Cornell Department of Medicine with participation of faculty from multiple
Cornell departments and colleges. The objectives of the Center are three-fold:
1) To provide global health training, in the classroom, laboratory, and field,
for students at all levels: undergraduates, medical students, graduate students
and post-doctoral fellows. 2) To provide reciprocal training programs at
Cornell for colleagues at all levels from our network of international
collaborating institutions. 3) To conduct research to address major health
problems in resource poor settings including HIV, tuberculosis, chronic
diseases, and maternal mortality.
