Latinos for Education Advocacy and Diversity

Latinos for Education Advocacy and Diversity (LEAD), is a fast-growing, high-impact advocacy and school-building nonprofit organization, whose mission is to expand educational options and opportunities in the state of Connecticut to promote an equitable society and to create a healthy, educated, and civically engaged community. 

At LEAD, where our motto is “We Serve to Advocate,” we organize for high quality charter schools while maintaining community centers across Connecticut. The centers function as support organizations for partner schools, as well as serving communities directly through educational programming and cultural celebrations. Now in our third year of operation, we have opened centers in Danbury, Bridgeport, Norwich and New Haven and have immediate plans to open in Waterbury and New Britain. Our diverse team of organizers and educators works tirelessly to ensure that Connecticut becomes a state where all people thrive and are celebrated
