  • Sobre Nós

The Alternative Tours of Athens (ATA) are a collective of architects, photographers, artists, historians and sociologists who organize open, educational, informative and entertaining tours in Athens. Through a wide variety of alternative tours, the ATA promotes Athens' street and public art, social movements, bike routes, nightlife, and creative local workshops. The ATA also co-organizes cultural events, community building activities and educational seminars.

    BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY

ATA is a community of people. We work as a cooperative, and a big part of our income goes to social projects. We believe in building communities and we want to be part of positive empowering change. Local communities will be more important to us than promoting tourism, and in a rapidly changing Athens, we will try to work with sensitivity and with their best interest in mind, first.
