    Reeves-Reed Arboretum is 13.5 total acres with approximately half the property comprised of historic gardens designed by Calvert Vaux, Ellen Biddle Shipman and Carl Pilat; a collection of specimen trees; a small conservatory with over 800 sq. ft. of display area; and historic buildings including a three story home and coach house designed by Babb, Cook and Willard in 1889. The remainder of the property is comprised of forest, woodlands and trails. The Arboretum accommodates approximately 101,000 visitors annually, is the only public garden and one of the largest green spaces in the City of Summit. It is a non-profit conservancy dedicated to preserving the historic estate and gardens and to promoting environmental and horticultural education for children and adults. The Arboretum is listed on both the National and New Jersey Histroric Registers.
