In Kyrgyzstan, there are 17 different Community Based Tourism (CBT) groups, each of which works independently. Led by local citizens, CBT groups enable visitors to explore the country’s history, culture, national traditions and ecology, whilst assuring them that their impact is socially and environmentally responsible. The CBT Arslanbob project aims at promoting community development, community building, ecological conservation and creating local jobs through tourism.
