SFIHS is a new school that opened in August 2009. Located in the Mission District in the heart of San Francisco, the school serves a student population of newly arrived immigrants who have been in the country four years or less and are still learning English. Working in small groups, students learn academic content, art and technology through exciting, rigorous, hands-on projects as they learn their new language.
