Founded in 2021, ReLeaf Cville is motivated by a founding principle: trees save lives. ReLeaf is a small, but mighty team whose mission is to protect the health of Charlottesville neighborhoods, prioritizing those experiencing severe heat from our changing climate. We achieve this by:
- Planting trees to increase the City’s tree canopy
- Preserving existing trees to help maintain the canopy
3. Educating the community about Charlottesville’s vital tree canopy particularly educating future environmental leaders.
