Mission: Chicago Advocate Legal, NFP is dedicated to advancing legal advocacy and equity within the Chicago community. Our mission is to provide comprehensive legal services, education, and resources to empower individuals, families, and communities, particularly those from marginalized communities, to navigate and resolve legal issues proactively and to promote health equity within and outside of the Domestic Relations Court.

Whom We Serve: Chicago Advocate Legal, NFP primarily serves individuals and families from marginalized and underserved communities in Chicago. Our focus is on providing support to those who face significant barriers to accessing legal resources, including low-income families, people of color, and individuals with disabilities.

Programs and Services:

1. Legal Services: We provide legal services on a sliding scale subscription fee.
2. Preventative Law Initiative: This initiative educates individuals, particularly high school students, about their legal rights and proactive legal planning to prevent issues before they escalate.
3. Legal Health Checks: We offer regular legal check-ups to help individuals identify and address potential legal issues early.
4. Family and Community Center: Our upcoming Preventative Law Family and Community Center will provide integrated legal, educational, and therapeutic family services, including sliding-scale legal assistance in family, housing, and education law.
5. Workshops and Clinics: We conduct workshops and clinics on topics such as co-parenting, conflict resolution, and financial planning to equip our community with practical skills and knowledge.
