  • Sobre Nós

Our mission is protecting economic and cultural diversity in San Francisco by providing working families with early childhood education, crisis intervention services and job training and placement opportunities, all onsite at each of their outposts across the city.

FACES SF stands for: Family and Child Empowerment Services San Francisco

    History:

FACES SF represents the combined legacies of two of San Francisco’s longstanding non-profits: Florence Crittenton Services and Whitney Young Child Development Center. Together, we share a 170-year history of serving San Francisco’s most vulnerable and underserved children and families.

    What we do:

Childcare: Without childcare, many low-income parents are unable to secure full-time employment, go to school, or get job training. Our Child Development Programs currently serve over 500 children with high-quality child development and after-school enrichment at sites in the Bayview, Hayes Valley and the Haight, and through our home-based program.

Job Training: Job training and job placement are extremely effective ways to eradicate poverty, support healthy families, and create strong communities. Each year more than 1,000 jobseekers receive critical job readiness training and placements through our One Stop Jobs Program in Visitation Valley.

Family Support: Our Healthy Families Program provides parents the tools they need to build better parenting skills and achieve greater family cohesion. Our Fathers Program reaches out to low-income fathers, helping them transform their challenges and re-connect with their children.
