The Alliance of Community Health Plans (ACHP) represents a unique nonprofit partnership model in health care, bringing together plans and providers on behalf of the patients and communities they serve. ACHP advocates for practical solutions that make health care better, with high-value coverage and care for all.
ACHP is committed to diversity, inclusion, and equity within our organization and the promotion of these values across the healthcare industry. We encourage different perspectives, identities, and backgrounds, regardless of job function to create a more resilient organization that supports a strong, equitable healthcare industry. We foster this by encouraging openness and transparency about diversity issues and progress, and we are invested in strategies that seek to equalize opportunities within ACHP.
ACHP seeks a Manager of Digital Communications to join our dynamic team dedicated to transforming the healthcare industry and advancing nonprofit, community-based plans.
The Manager, Digital Communications, serves a critical role in using available tools to achieve ACHP’s communications goals. Through strategic planning, storytelling and narrative development, the successful candidate will use ACHP’s social media channels as well as video and audio tools to amplify ACHP’s positions. Your goal is to differentiate ACHP and its member companies as leading voices in health care policy, emphasizing their focus on higher quality and affordability. A love of crisp, engaging communication is a must.
Are you a social media “guru” with a passion for health care policy? Candidates with a strong interest in health care policy, research, and data are encouraged to apply. Communication is central to ACHP’s advocacy efforts, so policy “wonks” with solid communication skills are welcome. The role involves creatively distilling complex information for diverse audiences, including member companies, advocates, consultants and other stakeholders, all while maintaining ACHP’s established voice. Strong judgment in daily operations and crisis scenarios is essential, along with a deep understanding of political, policy and media landscapes, potentially including Capitol Hill experience. Bonus points for those who can convey complex policy positions with a healthy dose of creative flair or wit.
The Manager, Digital Communications, will think multidimensionally about raising ACHP’s profile and the political, policy and clinical issues on which we focus and will possess excellent and compelling writing skills.
