    Salary Range: $100,000-125,000

    Reports to the Executive Director

    Full time – Salaried

    Location: Remote based in Nebraska with intentional in person convenings

    I Be Black Girl (IBBG) is a reproductive justice organization in Nebraska that leads with

    boldness, innovation and inspiration, actively creating a radical change-making culture that centers Black women, femmes and girls. Inspired by the work of bell hooks, Audre Lorde and other Black feminist and womanist, our organization provides transformational change at the intersections of gender and race. The term “I Be,” framed by author bell hooks in Be Boy Buzz, inspired IBBG’s founder to fill spaces with what it means to exist as a Black woman, femme or girl—where we are free to define and own that narrative.

    Position Summary:

    The Director of Programs will be a key member of the executive leadership team and will manage all portfolios of work, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and strategic vision. The CPO will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of high-impact initiatives that address reproductive justice. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, have extensive experience managing complex projects, and deep understanding of reproductive justice and movement building frameworks.

    Key Responsibilities

    Program Leadership and Management:

    Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of all programs related to the reproductive justice portfolios, ensuring they align with the organization’s mission and strategic goals.

    Manage program staff, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure effective program delivery.

    Provide leadership and direction to program staff, fostering a collaborative and welcoming team culture.

    Manage in partnership with the Executive Director hiring, training, and professional development for program team members.

    Create a supportive and empowering environment for staff, ensuring their personal and professional growth.

    Develop and manage the programmatic budget, ensuring financial sustainability and alignment with organizational priorities.

    Identify opportunities for program expansion, partnerships, and innovation to increase the impact of the organization’s work.

    Ensure that programs are designed and implemented with an equity lens, centering the voices and needs of marginalized communities.

    Strategic Planning and Organizational Leadership:

    Collaborate with the Executive Director and senior leadership team to develop and execute the organization’s strategic plan.

    Lead organizational initiatives aimed at increasing the nonprofit’s visibility and influence in the reproductive justice movement.

    Ensure that the program team’s work is integrated across departments, fostering collaboration between advocacy, communications, development, and community engagement.

    Represent the organization at key meetings, conferences, and coalition-building activities, serving as a thought leader on reproductive justice issues.

    Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:

    Implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to assess program effectiveness and impact.

    Utilize data and feedback from partners and community to continuously improve program design and delivery.

    Prepare regular reports for the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and funders on program outcomes and progress towards goals.

    Team Development and Management:

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in public health, Social Work, Gender Studies, Nonprofit Management, or related field (master's preferred).

    Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in nonprofit management, program management, or a related field, with a focus on reproductive justice, human rights, or social justice.

    Experience managing federal grants

    Deep understanding of reproductive justice issues, including abortion access, contraception, healthcare equity, and the intersection of race, gender, and economic justice.

    Proven track record of developing and managing complex programs and budgets.

    Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising and developing staff.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the organization to various stakeholders.

    Experience with data-driven program evaluation and using metrics to inform decision-making.

    Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and the empowerment of marginalized communities.

    Estimated Distribution of Duties:
