    About Credit Do: Credit Do is a non-profit organization dedicated to making financial independence a reality for all. We create unique opportunities for purchasing food, clothes, school supplies, and other essential goods in exchange for doing social good through our innovative Smarter Barters™ platform. By leading relief efforts that meet their community's specific needs, student participants earn store credit to local businesses and cash contributions that jumpstart their educational savings accounts.

    Our platform empowers students to learn, work, and save towards financial freedom. Students engage in a 2-week in-school curriculum on financial education basics, preparing them to conduct local work-service initiatives in exchange for funds to purchase essentials at merchant partners. These partners also contribute to the students' educational savings accounts, fostering a community-wide cycle of financial empowerment.

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a passionate and experienced Full Stack Developer / Tech Consultant to join our team and continue building our Smarter Barters™ platform. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our system that connects middle school students to community service opportunities and financial education.

    Responsibilities:

    •  Continue the development and enhancement of the existing platform built with Next.js, Firebase, and other technologies.
    •  Integrate with educational platforms like the Council for Economic Education via APIs.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders including middle school students, parents, teachers, and
    • administrators to gather requirements and feedback.
    • Implement new features and functionalities using Next.js, Material UI, Chakra UI, and Tailwind
    • CSS.
    • Ensure smooth authentication and data management with Firebase Auth and Firestore.
    • Maintain high standards of code quality and ensure responsive design across various devices.
    • Provide technical guidance and consultancy on best practices for building and scaling the
    • platform.
    • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in web development and education
    • systems. Requirements:
    • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with a strong portfolio of projects.
    • Expertise in Next.js, Material UI, Chakra UI, and Tailwind CSS.
    • Proficiency in Firebase Auth and Firestore for authentication and database management.
    • Solid understanding of APIs and experience integrating with third-party services.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working on platforms serving educational and fintech purposes or working with non-profits and school systems.
    • Knowledge of gamification techniques to enhance user engagement.
    • Ability to understand and empathize with the needs of middle school students, parents, and
    • educators.
