    Position: National Manager, Individual Giving

    Reports to: National Director, Individual Giving

    Position Status: Full-Time, Exempt

    Location: Remote

    Description: 

    The Parkinson's Foundation makes life better for people with Parkinson’s disease by improving care and advancing research toward a cure. In everything we do, we build on the energy, experience, and passion of our global Parkinson's community.

    Under the direction of the National Director of Individual Giving, the National Manager of Individual Giving will play a crucial role in planning and executing an integrated multi-channel fundraising strategy. This position will focus on leveraging proven direct response marketing techniques to support two key programs: the individual giving program with a goal of $7.7M and the direct response program with a goal of $7.5M. The National Manager of Individual Giving will be integral in both fundraising and outreach efforts to current and prospective donors. Responsibilities also include coordinating with the Foundation’s advancement, communications, donor database management, and accounting teams.

    The position encompasses three main areas of focus and responsibility – Direct Response Programming, Frontline Fundraising, and Support. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

    Direct Response Program – 60%

    • Partner with the National Director of Individual Giving to develop and manage the strategic roadmap and budget for the direct response program, including achieving annual targets for revenue, expenses, and future goals.
    • Implement and oversee direct mail campaigns, collaborating with vendors and internal partners to ensure accurate execution and timely delivery.
    • Lead and document weekly meetings with the National Director of Individual Giving, direct response vendors, and internal partners to prioritize essential deliverables.
    • Ensure the accuracy of vendor invoices, coordinate their reconciliation with the accounting team, and submit them for approval in the ChromeRiver system.
    • Collaborate with the Advancement Communications Manager to source and secure approval for content and share Direct Response communications with relevant internal departments.
    • Update and manage content for the internal monthly Development Newsletter.

    Individual Giving, Frontline Fundraising – 25%

    • Develop and manage a portfolio of 15 high-capacity donors to increase individual philanthropic support through personalized relationships.
    • Partner with the National Director of Individual Giving and VP of Advancement Operations to create and implement strategic roadmaps for Sustainer and Workplace Giving programs.
    • Engage mid-to-high capacity Sustainers to enhance recurring giving and solicit additional one-off $5K+ gifts.
    • Administer the Creating Healthier Communities (CHC) program, including training and mentoring Field colleagues on CHC applications.

    National Individual and Major Giving Team Support – 15%

    • Produce and distribute quarterly letters and personalized stewardship reports for Major Gift Directors.
    • Review and update Individual Giving materials, including the website and one-pagers.
    • Ensure the accuracy of vendor invoices for Major Gift, Planned Giving, and Individual Giving budgets before submission for approval.
    • Order and manage PF materials for the National Individual Giving Team.

    Experience and Skills:

    • Demonstrates organizational values of excellence, teamwork, collaboration, integrity, positivity, dedication, and responsiveness.
    • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required; Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) designations are a plus.
    • Over three years of successful fundraising experience, ideally in direct response or individual giving at a national nonprofit.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with mature donors, both verbally and in writing.
    • Proven organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while delivering high-quality results on time.
    • Refined problem-solving and analytical abilities, with experience establishing and adjusting priorities and negotiating complex activities.
    • Capable of representing the Parkinson’s Foundation independently, making compelling requests for support.
    • Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge or similar constituent relationship management software.
    • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating energy and persistence.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Teams, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to travel as needed.
    • Demonstrates the organizational values of excellence, teamwork, collaboration, integrity, positivity, dedication and responsiveness.

    Compensation:

    Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included. The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000.
