    About the Associate Producer, Performing Arts Role:

    BRIC seeks an Associate Producer to work with the Performing Arts team to provide administrative and operational support of performances & residencies, which includes the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival, BRIC JazzFest, and other BRIC programs. The AP will manage all artist contract administration and assist with all rehearsals, performances, and performing arts operations to ensure high-quality artist/audience experience and production values.

    What You’ll Do in the Role:

    The Associate Producer will be responsible for the following in addition to any other

    project as assigned by their manager, Senior Producer, Performing Arts. .

    Artist Services & Producing Support:

    Collect artist marketing assets and distribute to internal teams, processing marketing requests and initiatives as needed.

    Track artist social media & promotion terms.

    Coordinate with the marketing team to collect, edit and print program copy for BRIC House performances.

    Assist producers in building and maintaining relevant show documents for both BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! and BRIC House Performing Arts events.

    Support Performing Arts Producer on BRIClab artist residencies, including liaising with artists, Production and Operations staff.

    Assist with various BRIC House programs and processes as needed.

    Coordinate guest lists for artists and other guests, both pre-show and on site.

    Manage day-of performance logistics at BCB! and performance and other event logistics at BRIC House as assigned, including dressing room assignments, hospitality, parking, & guest list requests, coordinating with producing and production staff.

    Manage thank-you notes and invitations.

    Ensure a smooth artist/audience engagement.

    Participate in programming and curatorial processes - research artists, tracking details and creating presentation documents.

    Contribute ideas to collaborative processes.

    Additional responsibilities as assigned by manager.

    Contracts:

    Work in close collaboration with Performing Arts, Producer to: Manage high-volume artist contract administration including drafting templates, mark-ups, processing signatures, communicating with several outside agencies and the Producers & Executive Director, BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!

    Work directly with artist teams & producers to fulfill contract terms, including ticketing, travel, promotion/marketing obligations, accommodations, transportation, hospitality, and payment terms.

    Track and ensure the timely payments of deposits and fees

    Administrative:

    Assist with event recap materials by creating briefs and/or decks, sourcing data and photos as assigned.

    Track & manage all artist and vendor payments for the performing arts department.

    Support ticketing/box office needs

    Support hiring process for BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Intern and work with Artist Services Intern.

    Manage departmental contact lists.

    Prepare meeting minutes, correspondence and other documents.

    Work on special projects as needed.

    Experience & Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience in performing arts and experience with artist contract administration. Degrees or training in the arts or communications are a plus.

    Proactive, self-starter with excellent organizational skills and superior attention to detail. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office & Google Suite required. Experience with ticketing software is a plus.

    Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.

    Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to work with several

    different stakeholders with diplomacy and tact.

    Ability to work as a team member and/or work independently and take initiative as appropriate.

    Ability to make sound decisions in a deadline-oriented environment.

    Interest and availability to work a flexible schedule (i.e. nights and/or weekends) as needed.

    Strong desire to build knowledge of arts administration and producing

    An interest in music, dance, theater, and multi-disciplinary performance.

    Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is $45,000 - $50,000.

    Status and location: This is a full-time, non-exempt role based in Brooklyn, at the Prospect Park Bandshell, at our Brooklyn offices in Fort Greene and/or Remote.

    Time Commitment: General office hours are 10am - 6pm, Monday-Friday. This schedule changes as needed for performances. Must be available all Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings in the summer. Additional evenings will be required and dates will be submitted in advance.

    Physical Demands: As this is an in-person, events based role, there will often be physical demands that may include but are not limited to:

    Moving / Carrying objects of approximately 25lbs

    Fast-paced environment working approx 32-35 performances per festival

    Quickly crossing festival grounds for various needs and communication with team leads

    Ability to work in an outdoor environment for long hours during shows

    Rain or shine events (except for cases of extreme weather)

    Ability to stand and move around venue space for several hours at a time
