    Roundabout Theatre Company, the nation’s largest not-for-profit theatre, is seeking a motivated fundraising professional to join our Development department as Leadership Giving Officer.

    The Leadership Giving Officer is a full-time, year-round position and is a key member of the solicitation team, tasked with providing critical support for special Leadership Giving initiatives and planning. This position will be a frontline fundraiser and maintain a portfolio of 100+ high net worth donors and prospects. The position reports to the Director of Leadership Giving. The position is temporary until August 31, 2028, with the opportunity to become a permanent position.

    This is some of what the Leadership Giving Officer will do:

    • Actively manage a portfolio of 100+ donors and prospects. Take meetings and solicit multi-year gifts as assigned.
    • Support and participate in ongoing efforts to secure naming gifts and legacy giving of $100K+. Collaborate with Annual Fund team to cultivate and plan comprehensive giving strategies for these individual donors.
    • Support Director of Leadership Giving in planning and executing special initiatives, creating support proposals and reporting when needed.
    • Manage department prospecting strategy to build up pipeline, including mining lists, assigning solicitors, and tracking progress in Tessitura database.
    • Lead department research plan, actively supervising research vendor and assigning priorities across all solicitor requests for research.
    • Assist with and participate in relevant committee meetings.
    • Participate in the planning and execution for all Leadership Giving cultivation events, including events in Board member’s homes and special cultivation events in Roundabout theatres and in off-site venues.
    • Perform other administrative duties as needed.

    This is some of what the Onboarding & Benefits Specialist should bring:  

    2–4 years of experience in Development, highly preferred in the performing arts or theater sector. Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively, exceptional attention to detail. Promote an environment that fosters inclusive relationships both within the development team and our external donor base. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong donor research skills. Must be service and team oriented, enthusiastic, and self-motivated. Some evening and weekend hours are required.

    Experience with CRM database; knowledge of Tessitura preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Experience with Photoshop and InDesign is a plus.

    This is a full-time exempt temporary position with all standard Roundabout benefits. The salary range is $65,000–$75,000 annually.
