    About Fortify Health

    Fortify Health has a vision for a healthier world where everyone has the micronutrients they need to survive and thrive. We work toward this by enabling access to micronutrient-rich wheat flour to reduce and prevent iron deficiency anaemia. We currently work in eight regions in India but are planning to expand to new regions in the coming years.

    Fortify Health operates through three work streams:

    1. Open Market Support: We support millers to cost-neutrally fortify chakki atta in the open market
    2. Government Partnership Support: We work with governments in India to mainstream wheat flour fortification through social safety net programs
    3. Evidence Generation: We conduct monitoring and evaluation of activities to inform the public about the value of food fortification

    About the role

    Fortify Health is looking to hire a (Senior) Partnerships Manager to join our Partnerships team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building and strengthening partnerships with the state government departments and not-for-profits by identifying collaboration opportunities and supporting the implementation of wheat flour fortification programs. 

    This is a great opportunity for an individual who would like to work on high-impact interventions. Our work is grounded on strong evidence and you will likely have a high counterfactual impact. It would provide an opportunity to work closely with senior bureaucrats and officials at the Central/ State government level to support the program's implementation. Further, you will get an opportunity to work and mentor a young, growing team, and enjoy an entrepreneurial environment. 

    The (Senior) Partnerships Manager will report to Fortify Health’s Associate Director of Partnerships. 

    Please note we are looking to hire either a Senior Partnerships Manager or a Partnerships Manager depending on the relevant experience of the candidate. Please see the ‘Requirements’ section for details. 

    Responsibilities and activities

    The (Senior) Partnerships Manager will be responsible for:

    • Identify potential partners for expansion and engagement with existing partners  
      • Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities with the State and non-profits to implement fortification programs. This should align with the medium-term strategy of the Partnerships department.
      • Nurture and strengthen existing partnerships with the State and non-profits by leading conversations and identifying collaboration opportunities. 
      • [Senior Manager] Expected to proactively identify, pursue, and cultivate both new and existing partnership opportunities independently, with a focus on strategic expansion into potential new areas or markets.
    • Drive implementation of wheat flour fortification projects 
      • Independently manage multiple projects and support partners to ensure fortified wheat flour meets the quality standards. 
      • Lead negotiations with key stakeholders (partners, field monitors, millers, and internal Fortify Health teams) to oversee the implementation of wheat flour fortification initiatives.
      • Support Program/ Partnerships Officers to effectively implement fortification projects with the partners. 
      • Develop and maintain project timelines, conduct project reviews and report on progress to the leadership team.
      • [Senior Manager] Expected to oversee and drive implementation of multiple fortification projects, including at least two large-scale state projects or several smaller initiatives simultaneously.
    • Strategic Contributions 
      • Support the leadership team in developing and refining organisational strategies.
      • Represent Fortify Health at industry events, conferences, and meetings to expand the organisation's network and influence.
      • [Senior Manager] Contribute to the creation of annual partnership goals and OKRs (Objective and Key Results). 
    • Building high-quality materials for projects: 
      • Work with the team to develop high-quality communication materials, including concept notes, presentation decks, and technical documents related to fortification.
      • Ensure all materials adhere to Fortify Health's brand guidelines and communicate the organisation's mission and impact effectively.
    • Maintaining strong internal communication and mentoring junior staff
      • Maintain internal communication channels to keep all team members (within and across departments at FH) informed and aligned with partnership activities
      • Mentor officers and other junior staff

    Candidate profile

    Requirements

    • Bachelors or Masters in Public Health/nutrition/economics/Social Work or related field
    • Minimum of four years of experience working with government or other key stakeholders in health, nutrition, education, or a related field, including some managerial experience.
    • Detail and execution-oriented, able to take a complex task from a high-level strategic idea to rapid execution with a large amount of autonomy and conscientiousness
    • Outstanding interpersonal, leadership, and communication (written and verbal) skills with senior officials
    • Self-starter who will thrive in a start-up setting by taking ownership and initiative
    • Committed to achieving results and proven perseverance to reach goals
    • Proven ability to work under pressure and with remote team
    • Based out of Delhi but open for remote for exceptional candidates
    • Willingness to travel between 30% - 50% of time
    • Fluency in English and Hindi, proficiency in other local languages are desirable
