    We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Finance and Human Resources Coordinator. The successful candidate should have excellent organizational skills and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for an individual who is detail-oriented and has a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and who will be committed to our nonprofit mission to serve.

    The Finance & HR Coordinator will be responsible for supporting administrative functions within TASK’s finance and Human Resources department, including maintenance of accounts payable and accounts receivable, daily financial entries, payroll processing and assisting with HR administration. The staff member will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards while supporting the Finance Manager and HR Director. The ideal candidate will have experience with accrual accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, audit preparation and QuickBooks or other accounting software systems; along with exposure to HR administration. This is a full-time, salaried position.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    Finance Operations:

    • Assist in managing all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, including entering bills and processing invoices in QuickBooks, utilizing accrual accounting principles to record financial transactions.
    • Managing and preparing monthly credit card reconciliations for review and approval and follow-up with staff regarding expenses as necessary.
    • Assist in payroll processing and related tax filings when needed. Administers all payroll processing ensuring that team members are paid timely and accurately and assists with related tax filings.
    • Manage general ledger activities, perform account reconciliations, and support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Manage daily remote bank deposits and work in partnership with the development team.
    • Support staff compliance with accounting, financial reporting and budgeting processes as needed.
    • Works in a team environment and proactively assists in performing other duties as necessary.

    Human Resources Support:

    Work closely with the HR Director to perform administrative task’s including:

    • Process bi-weekly payroll
    • Posting job ads internally and on external job boards
    • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing documentation, setting up company email address and access to internal applications, procuring office equipment for new hires, i.e., laptops, phone, business cards.
    • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems
    • Perform other related tasks as assigned

    Necessary Skills and Abilities:

    • Highly proficient with QuickBooks and an intermediate level in Excel
    • Payroll processing experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business; can be substituted with 3-5 years practical experience
    • Previous HRIS and Timekeeping experience a plus
    • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
    • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
    • Proven track record of keeping sensitive information confidential
