The Fund for Leadership, Equity, Access and Diversity (LEAD Fund) was established to provide thought leadership in promoting inclusive organizations and institutions through research and education on issues related to diversity, social responsibility, human and civil rights. The LEAD Fund is a “Think and Do” tank, which advances new knowledge and tested strategies aimed at eliminating prejudice and discrimination. The Fund is an affiliate of the American Association for Access, Equity and Diversity (AAAED).

Among its programs is the LEAD Fund Authors Program. The LEAD Fund Authors Program emphasizes “Diversity in Action” and is committed to promoting undergraduate and graduate research that advances new understandings and tested strategies aimed at expanding organizational or institutional knowledge of access, equity, and diversity. LEAD Fund Authors are selected among a diverse pool of applicants who present their work for consideration to the LEAD Fund. LEAD Fund Authors’ presentations are intended to disseminate fresh ideas on methods to promote access, equity, and diversity in employment, education and business/contracting.

Editors will work with the students and will provide feedback on their papers.  The Fund will pay an hourly rate for the editors. Papers are usually 20 – 25 pages and will include footnotes and bibliographies. Editor Qualifications: An editor for the LEAD Fund Authors’ Program is a professional who is responsible for reviewing, revising, and improving student’s document before it is published by the Fund. The editor ensures that the document is correct as a matter of content and is grammatically and stylistically correct. The final product should also be of high quality. The editor works with the writers to improve their content to make sure it flows well and educates them regarding best practices in writing.

Once the editor has approved the document, the Fund and author will conduct a final review and then upload it on the Fund’s website, www.leadfund.org and other sites as desired. To view some of the LEAD Fund Authors’ papers, go to: https://www.leadfund.org/lead-fund-authors-and-fellows-program
