    Oxford University Development (North America), Inc. (OUDNA) has an opportunity for a Gift Processing Associate to work with a dynamic development team in its Midtown Manhattan office. The Gift Processing Associate will report to the Americans for Oxford (AFO) Finance team and collaborate with the Director of Finance to support OUDNA’s fundraising mission in North America. 

    The Gift Processing Associate will be responsible for handling daily donations, managing banking tasks, entering data, automating monthly reports to Oxford University and its Colleges, and generating acknowledgment letters for donors. They will also interact with donors via phone and email. Additionally, this role includes assisting with monthly donation disbursements, reconciling accounts, and preparing board reports.

     Gift Processing Associate Skills and Qualifications:

    An associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred, along with strong mathematical skills and a good understanding of data privacy standards. The ideal candidate should possess integrity, honesty, and excellent customer service skills, as well as solid written and verbal communication abilities. Familiarity with business principles and practices, attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical thinking are essential. Computer skills, particularly with spreadsheets and calculation software, are also important. The ability to perform well under pressure is crucial.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

      • Assist with processing monthly donation disbursements to Oxford University and its Colleges
      • Process daily donations, including bank deposits
      • Circulate weekly reports to internal staff
      • Answer questions and provide assistance to donors via email and telephone
      • Generate acknowledgment letters for donors
      • Support the monthly reconciliation of accounts and credit card transactions
      • Automate monthly reports to UK Development Offices
      • Assist with the preparation of board reports
      • Shared phone reception duties and provide other light administrative support

    Desired qualifications:

      • A self-starter who can work independently as well as contribute as a team member
      • Superior attention to detail while managing time-sensitive deadlines
      • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and QuickBooks
      • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
      • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work in a professional office

    The annual salary is $50,000-$55,000 commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits.
