Americorps Family Advocate and Case Management Aide

Casa Marianella is an emergency shelter for immigrants and refugees in Austin, Texas. We are looking for passionate individuals to serve as full-time Americorps members in our family program and benefits clinic. We look for people who are interested in serving the Austin immigrant community, who enjoy working both collaboratively and independently.

Applicants should speak conversational Spanish, French, or Portuguese and and have compassion for our immigrant clients.

Activities include assisting clients in applying for health insurance, accessing medical care, housing case management support with residents, as well as assisting with the oversight of the shelter factilies and promoting a positive community for our guests. Some program tasks are supporting community volunteers, sorting donations, and tutoring children with their homework.

Our position is an Americorps position which provides a training, professional development, and stipend of $23,800 for an 11 month term plus health insurance and an education stipend of $6,895. You can learn more about our Americorps program at https://equalheart.org/
