Emerson Elementary School - Oakland

Emerson Elementary School is a small elementary school in the Oakland Unified School District. Emerson had begun hiring for the 2016-2017 school year. The work of the urban educator is demanding and difficult, but the potential to bring about change at Emerson is worth it. We are a full service community school that is focused on serving the whole child, through arts integration, social emotional learning, and restorative practices. Teachers at Emerson can expect to participate in inquiry-driven professional development, receive site-based instructional coaching, and be a part of a community that is using culturally responsive teaching methodologies to reach all our children. We are looking for committed, empathetic, collaborative, hard working, thoughtful, and equitable educators to join our teaching team. We are looking for Multiple-Subject Credentialed teachers in grades K-5.
