VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Oakland, K9 handlers with TSA are looking for volunteers to help with training. Volunteers will pose as secret passengers or “decoys.” Airports have a limited number of people who are able to assist, which is why we are soliciting your help!
Hours Needed: Mon-Fri 0500 or 0600-0700
Our mission at TSA is to protect the nation’s transportation systems to ensure freedom of movement for people and commerce. Our canine teams accomplish this mission by providing Passenger Screening and Explosives Detection at checkpoints, departure gates, vehicle lots, cargo facilities, baggage areas, and high profile events. These specialized canines are able to locate explosives on people moving through all areas in the airport. You can get an inside look at how these dogs react and are able to identify a person of interest in an entire airport full of people.
