Brooklyn Community District 2 (BKCD2) is one of 59 City agencies that serve as the most local unit of nonpartisan representative government in NYC. Each District is managed by a City staff, and represented by a Board of 50 volunteers appointed by their elected Borough President and City Council Members. The designated neighborhoods of BKCD2 include: Downtown Brooklyn; Brooklyn Heights and Boerum Hill; DUMBO, Fulton Ferry, and Vinegar Hill; Fort Greene and Clinton Hill; and the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
