The City of Crisfield is a local municipal government, with a population of close to 3,000. We are located in Somerset County, one of the poorest counties in the State of Maryland. We recently endured the hardship of Hurricane Sandy, which caused devastating destruction to our small City as well as the county areas which surround us. Gratefully, no lives were lost, however, the damage to homes has forced many of our residents to seek shelter in local hotels and motels, many located in neighboring towns. Our local government serves its citizens by providing water, sewer, and garbage collection as well as fire, police and ambulance.
