USmax administers and manages the Science for Development Fellowship program on behalf of USAID.
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has established the Science for Development Fellowships program (SDF) as a two-year experiential professional development opportunity for doctorate-level scientists, and engineers with a master's degree, to work at USAID and apply their expertise and research skills to inform the U.S. government’s international development activities.
USAID is the world's premier international development agency and leads international development and humanitarian efforts to save lives, reduce poverty, strengthen democratic governance, and help people progress beyond assistance. USAID promotes American prosperity through investments that expand markets for U.S. exports; create a level playing field for U.S. businesses; and support more stable, resilient, and democratic societies.
