Sunrise Community Farm Center

Sunrise Community Farm Center is a social and educational destination where members of the community can come to learn and participate in the workings of a sustainable farm. Our bread and butter is our equine programs such as horse lessons and riding parties, but we also offer many programs for children (afterschool, summer camp, and "mini-camps" on school in-service days) through Spence's Farms For Kids and open days for the public so that anyone, young or old, can come meet the horses along with our chickens, turkeys, goats, rabbits, pig, guinea fowl, guinea pigs, rats, mice, duck, and our bearded dragon Spike. We also keep fruit and nut trees and a sustainable garden full of berries and veggies. We work to keep our programs low-cost and flexible-admission so Sunrise can stay accessible to everyone. Our hope is to provide a model of sustainability while attracting a growing community of friends, members and volunteers to work together for a kinder and more eco-friendly future.
