Today Rwanda is booming and sports one of the safest and most beautiful settings for doing business. The country has been transformed and is a tropical paradise for living and, with Heaven's help, for eating too! Heaven Restaurant & Inn opened in May of 2008 in the lovely neighborhood of Kiyovu, near the commercial center of Kigali. Heaven was created as a social enterprise to improve service levels in the hospitality sector and create employment. Prosperity creation is one of Rwanda's key challenges, and Heaven creates employment that sets a national standard for service and food quality. Heaven is consistently ranked one of the country's top restaurants with a spectacular ambiance on a custom-built space overlooking the entire city. Heaven was made in Rwanda: Rwandan craftspeople produced everything in the restaurant -- from the chairs and tables to the placemats and artwork on the walls, Heaven was produced by Rwandans. All food is sourced locally. All artwork and crafts are for sale and support local cooperatives.
