Gladstein, Reif & Meginniss LLP has specialized in labor, employment and civil rights law since it was founded as a law collective in 1976. Since then, the office has been reorganized as a partnership, but the central ideal has remained the same: that workers and their organizations deserve top-quality legal representation just as much as corporations that can pay top dollar for their lawyers. We represent unions and related organizations, unorganized groups of workers, and individual workers. We represent approximately two dozen local unions in the New York-New Jersey metropolitan area. Through our union clients we represent workers in the health care, telecommunications, and hotel industries, among others, as well as university professors and transit workers. In addition to our union work, we represent low-wage workers in wage-and-hour litigation, individuals and classes of workers in civil rights litigation, and rank-and-file union members in union democracy cases. We do not represent management clients.
