We are excited to announce an opportunity for dedicated and passionate individuals to join the Board of Directors for AORE. We are looking for leaders who are committed to advancing our mission and ready to make a lasting impact on the future of our organization.
As a member of our Board of Directors, you will play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of AORE and have the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic group of professionals, share your insights, and drive meaningful change.
We encourage anyone with a passion for helping people experience the outdoors in a powerful and positive way to apply. If you or someone you know would be a great fit, we invite you to share this message with them.
AORE is constantly evaluating its role and responsibilities in the outdoor recreation and education field to advocate for greater inclusion and representation of historically disadvantaged and underrepresented populations. If you (or someone in your sphere of influence) can contribute to these efforts through board leadership and service, we encourage you to apply.
About the AORE Board
Open Board Positions
- Six (6) four-year seats
- One (1) one-year Student/Aspiring Board of Directors
Service terms beginning January 2025. Our goal is to elect directors who bring the experience, skills, and diversity necessary for enhancing the strategic focus of AORE.

Applying for the AORE Board
Period to Apply - Applications/nominations are currently open and will stay open until Wednesday, September 25, 2024 12 PM ET.
Requirements
- To be eligible for the Student Board of Director seat, you must have a valid Student Professional membership prior to applying.
- All elected members to the Board of Directors are required to hold a Professional membership prior to the start of their term (January 1, 2025).
