Restless Development USA Board of Directors

    What is Restless Development?

Restless Development is a global non profit agency. We support the collective power of young leaders to create a better world. Our young leaders lead change on some of the world’s biggest challenges - from gender inequality, youth unemployment to climate justice. All our work is co-led by young people in their local communities - and brought together by the Youth Collective, a growing global community for youth-led organizations.

In 2025, Restless Development will commemorate 40 years of youth-led development in 26 countries and a growing Youth Collective with members in 185 countries.

    About Restless Development USA

We're a US-based nonprofit with 501(c)(3) status dedicated to fundraising for Restless Development worldwide, supporting youth-focused programs in our localized offices known as “hubs”. Established in 2001, the Board of Directors is an active governance board of Restless Development USA, an independent affiliate that works closely with the global agency.

Restless Development USA is transitioning to a new phase, concentrating on expanding our impact and revenue streams. To help us realize these ambitious new targets, we are currently seeking multiple new board members at this exciting and pivotal time for the organization.

Over the next three years, Restless Development USA will embark on a new exciting strategy to:

    • Significantly increase our US fundraising income to over $1.2M annually, especially flexible and unrestricted income - focusing on Trusts and Foundations, Major Donors, and Board Giving.
    • Increase our visibility and profile in the US with critical audiences, including philanthropists and development sector thought leaders.
    • Celebrate the power of young people to create change- using key global moments to target US audiences to influence and encourage to support Restless Development.

    Specific responsibilities include:

    • Act as an ambassador for Restless Development, promoting its values and goals and inspire support from philanthropic networks.
