Volunteer: Work Readiness - Community Corrections and Rehabilitation

Hennepin County's Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation is seeking a Work Readiness Volunteer to assist the work readiness preparation for justice involved residents at the Ault Correctional Facility in Plymouth, MN.

Location and hours:

Hennepin County Adult Correctional Facility 1145 Shenandoah Lane. Plymouth, MN 55447.

Every other Wednesday 2:30pm to 5:00pm.

About the volunteer position type:

This is an advertisement for an unpaid, volunteer position.

In this volunteer position, you will:

• You will follow a curriculum that covers job readiness skills.
• You will coach on resume writing, interview techniques (mock interviews) career assessment, job applications and coaching on how to navigate the background clearance process for job applicants.
• Successfully complete Volunteer Orientation and Training.
• Be supported by a designated Adult Correctional Facility staff.

Invitations to interview will be based upon an assessment of experience. Final candidates will be required to complete a background check.
