Role Description

This is a remote, unpaid volunteer role for a Marketing Assistant Volunteer at Emergent Epiphany Magazine. As a Marketing Assistant Volunteer, you will contribute to various day-to-day marketing activities for the website and LinkedIn page. We need help growing in following and engagement, as well as someone to get our name out there. You will also assist in developing and executing marketing strategies to promote the magazine and engage with our audience. You will have as needed contact with the magazine founder, Jackie, as well as Zoom check in meetings. You are welcome to bring all and any ideas; this is an easy-going environment! Jackie will work one-on-one with you on agendas and goals for the magazine media, as well as for what you hope to learn and accomplish.

Time Commitment: 1-3 hours a week required; long term or short term (as decided by volunteer's capability) - week days and weekends as we find fit

Location: 100% Remote, work from home.

Payment: Unpaid position, volunteer experience

Qualifications

• You must have a computer with internet access
• Proficient in U.S. English
• Familiarity with LinkedIn
• Excellent communication skills and easy going personality
• Knowledge of marketing strategy especially in terms of social media and willingness to learn
• Ability, motivation, and desire to help increase our LinkedIn business page's following/engagement and  increase traffic toward website
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Passion for metaphysical themes and creative expression
• Experience or a desire to work in the publishing, marketing, and/or metaphysical industry is a plus, but not required
• Intent to pursue or pursuing/obtained a Associate's or Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field is preferred, but not required
• Can work in an industry which has multiple belief systems converging together into one platform

If you are able to send a cover letter, please have a small section or a few lines dedicated to what areas of metaphysics you have experienced or practiced in your life, or that you are simply curious about. Don't be afraid to expand on anything from alternative religions to yoga to herbalism, magic, meditation, and more. We don't judge. You can also include this in your resume or just have an answer prepared for an interview.
